    Intel Desktop Board D945GRW Product Guide BIOS The BIOS provides the Power-On Self-Test (POST), the BIOS Setup program, the PCI/PCI Express and IDE auto-configuration utilities, and the video BIOS. The BIOS is stored in the Serial Peripheral Interface (SPI) Flash or the Firmware Hub.

    Fan Speed Control (Intel Precision Cooling Technology) Intel Precision Cooling Technology automatically adjusts the processor fan speed based on the processor thermal diode temperature and adjusts the chassis fan speeds depending on the system temperature. System fan noise may be reduced by operating controlled chassis and processor fans at the minimum necessary speeds.
