In vehicles with factory delays on the domelight circuit, there is usually a wire that is unaffected by the delay circuitry. When the 516L is used in conjunction with most DEI security systems, Silent Mode can be used to temporarily turn off the arm or disarm confirmation voice message before either arming or disarming the security system.
