Proper installation is the responsibility of the installer. Improper installation will void warranty and may
IMPORTANT NOTE: Do not allow the master cylinder to completely drain of brake fluid at any time during this process.
Also, use care when handling brake fluid, as it can quickly damage finished surfaces (paint, plating, etc.).
1. Note routing of factory brake hoses. Remove hoses as well as associated hardware and brackets.
2. Install straight-bent banjo end of Russell upper hose and compound-bend banjo end of Russell lower hose onto
right-side caliper using supplied double-banjo bolt. Upper banjo goes next to caliper and bends up and away from
caliper. Lower banjo bends up and away from caliper and bends to outside of upper banjo (See Fig. 1) .
3. Route lower hose over rear of fender to left-side caliper. Install banjo so that it bends up and away from caliper.
4. Route upper hose up to master cylinder using factory routing. Install banjo onto master cylinder, oriented similar
to factory.
5. Locate upper hose to fork tree with factory bracket at factory mounting location. Insert grommet on hose into
loop on bracket (See Fig. 2).
6. Locate upper hose and lower hose on right-side fork tube at factory location with supplied large cushion clamp.
Attach clamp and reflector to fork tube with factory bolt (See Fig. 3).
