Installation Methods

On Floor or Shelf
Place the speakers on the floor or on a shelf or other horizontal
stable surface. Keep in mind that speakers are not fixed into
place, so be careful to avoid knocking them over.
On the Wall
This speaker include mount hole for wall mounting. You use only one screw. Proceed as follows.
1 Screw a single screw into the wall at the desired loca-
tion. Screw it only part way in, so that the screw
projects 9 to 11 mm (3/8 to 7/16 inches) outward from
the wall surface.
9 - 11 mm (3/8 to 7/16")
• Wall screw must be purchased separately.
3 The mount hole for wall mounting is provided on the lower rear of the speaker. Place the speaker upside down and
hook the hole on the screw attached to the wall. Confirm that the speaker is held firmly and securely in place.
On the speaker stand
The speaker can be installed on the SR-8000 stand optionally available from KENWOOD. Any
commercially available speaker mount or bracket can also be used (provided that the speaker
can be fixed using an M5 screw with a pitch of 60 mm and effective thread length of 7 to 10
mm). For details, read the instruction manual for the speaker mount or bracket.
Precautions
Please observe the following precautions when mounting speakers onto the wall or speaker stand.
Be sure that the wall you are using is strong enough to support the full weight of the speaker (approx. 2.6 kg [5.7 lb] ).
Wall screw must be purchased separately.
Be sure to use a screw that is appropriate for the wall or stand you are using, and that are long enough to provide
sufficient strength.
If you are uncertain about the wall's support strength, the type of screw to use, or any other points regarding this
type of installation, please consult a contractor or other qualified person before proceeding.
Be sure to follow the procedure given here when carrying out installation. Kenwood can assume no liability for injury
or damage that may occur if a speaker setup falls from the wall as a result of incorrect installation or insufficient
support strength.

Cushion
Mount hole
• Attach four cushions to the base of the
speaker, one at each corner. The cush-
ions prevent the speaker from sliding,
and dampen its vibrations.
Cushion
2 Remove the grille and reattach it upside down.
• Attach each couple of provided cushions to make two
sets of two-cushion piles, and attach them to the two
positions shown on the rear of the speaker. These piles
will protect the speaker body from damage and pre-
vent the vibrations of the speaker body from being
transmitted to the wall.
