    IS-TVHD30 30” HD-Ready TV ONNECTING When you connect your HD-Ready TV to other equipment, turn off the power and unplug all of the equipment from the wall outlets. Failure to do so may cause an electric shock and serious personal injury.
  • Page 7 IS-TVHD30 30” HD-Ready TV Component Description 1 Power button and indicator Press the power button to turn your HD-Ready TV on and off. 2 Standby indicator This indicator (red) is on when your HD-Ready TV is in standby mode. 3 Power on indicator This indicator (green) is on when your HD-Ready TV is turned on.
  • Page 8 IS-TVHD30 30” HD-Ready TV Back Connection Description COMPONENT1 Plug a component video device into these jacks. Jacks on the left are for Left/Mono (top) and Right (bottom) audio input. AV (output) Plug an external device such as a VCR or stereo into these AV output jacks.

    IS-TVHD30 30” HD-Ready TV Setting up your HD-Ready TV Installing the remote control batteries To install the remote control batteries: 1 Open the battery cover. 2 Insert two AAA batteries. Make sure that the +/– symbols on the battery match the +/–marks inside the battery compartment.

  • Page 14 IS-TVHD30 30” HD-Ready TV Notes • Make sure that you have a clear line of sight between the remote sensor on the front of your HD-Ready TV and the remote control. • When direct sunlight, or an incandescent lamp, fluorescent lamp, or any other strong light shines on the remote sensor, the remote control function may be unstable.

  • Page 16 IS-TVHD30 30” HD-Ready TV VHF/UHF ONNECTING AN OUTDOOR ANTENNA To connect an outdoor VHF/UHF antenna with a single 75-ohm cable or 300-ohm twin-lead wire: • Connect the 75-ohm cable from a combination VHF/UHF antenna to the antenna jack. VHF/UHF 75-ohm If your combination antenna has a 300-ohm twin-lead wire, use a 300-75 ohm matching transformer (not included).

    IS-TVHD30 30” HD-Ready TV Menu Options Setup Language–Selects the language for the OSD. Blue screen–Displays a blue screen when your HD-Ready TV is not receiving a video signal. Rotation–Adjusts the position of the image on the screen. CCD Mode–Turns closed captioning on and off.

To access the parental controls, you have to enter a password. ETTING A PASSWORD To set a password: 1 Press MENU one or more times to open the SETUP menu.
