Remote Capture Using Eos Utility - Canon EOS-1D X Instruction Manual

You can use EOS Utility to shoot remotely over a wired
LAN.
As a wired network is used instead of the USB cable, all
camera operations (except firmware updates) in EOS
Utility are supported, in addition to remote capture.
The wired LAN functions cannot be used with the Mac version of
EOS Utility (as of November 2011).
Check the Canon website for the latest system requirements,
including supported OS versions.
