Fuel Gage

When
the
indicator
Your fuel gage shows how
much fuel is in your tank. It
works only when the engine

nears EMPTY (E), you still
have a little fuel left. You
need to get more right away.
The following situations are normal and do not indicate
a fuel gage malfunction.

At the gas station, the gas pump shuts off before the
gage reads FULL

It takes more (or less) gas to fill up than the gage
indicated. For example, the gage may have indicated
half full, but it took more

the tank's capacity to fill it.
The gage may move when you turn a corner, speed
up or stop your vehicle.
When you turn the engine off, the gage doesn't go all
the way back to EMPTY (E).
Low Fuel Light

FUEL
This light comes on briefly
as a bulb check when you
start your engine. If this
light comes on and stays
on, you should get more
fuel soon.
