It's engineered to crush heavy-duty jobs. Drop a big payload into its bed and its
improved suspension will push right back up. Its maximum payload capacity
is now a substantial 6335 lbs 1 and is a 20 percent increase over our comparable
2010 models. Its maximum Front Gross Axle Weight Rating of 6000 lbs 2 is an
impressive 25 percent increase with the optional Snow Plow Prep. These numbers
are built on a powerful foundation. Sierra HDs have an all-new chassis design,
Law3 including a high-strength, fully boxed steel frame, an increased wheelbase, a
wider track and hydraulic body mounts under the cabins of the Extended Cab
and Crew Cab models to improve ride comfort.
