LIMITED TWO-YEAR CONSUMER WARRANTY Directed Electronics, Inc. promises to the original purchaser, to replace this product should it prove to be defective in workmanship or material under normal use, for a period of two years from the date of purchase by the dealer as indicated by the date code marking of the product PROVIDED the product was installed by an authorized Directed dealer.

INSTALLATION GUIDELINES 1. Read this manual carefully and in its entirety before installing this equalizer. 2. Always disconnect the battery or remove the fuses for circuits you will be working on. 3. Check for clearance of any hazards such as hoses, heater core, or brake lines before mounting the equalizer to any panels in the vehicle.

FIGURE 1—REAR PANEL INTIIAL SETTINGS 1. Make sure the main Source 1 unit is connected to the Source 1 inputs, then adjust the main source units volume to just below maximum. 2. Adjust the Source 1 input gains (top of unit) to the minimum setting and the 2500 master volume control to the maximum setting.
CROSSOVER AND FILTER ADJUSTMENTS The crossover and filter gain adjustments can be performed two different ways, by using a piece of audio test equipment called an RTA (Real Time Analyzer) or by listening to a familiar piece of music. The RTA is most commonly used to achieve the flattest possible system response in preparation for a sound off competition.
