Reinstall the receptacle in the electrical box, attach the wall plate, then turn on power at the circuit breaker or fuse. Determine if power is flowing to the GFCI receptacle by plugging in a lamp or radio into it. If the radio or lamp works, the capped wires are the LOAD wires.

If the product is placed in a circuit, be NOTICE aware of the position of the product (Fig. 1). When it is in position A, it provides GFCI protection to “load side” of receptacles B and C. When it is in position C, it does not provide protection to receptacles A or B.

GFCI testing Perform the GFCI testing after NOTICE installation and every month to ensure proper operation. If the product can not be reset, then it must be replaced. Refer to Troubleshooting section if the NOTICE product fails to perform as described as below. Turn on the power at circuit breaker or fuse.

Troubleshooting Turn off the power at circuit breaker or fuse. Check the wire connections against the appropriate wiring diagram in Fig. 5A or 5B. Make sure that there are no loose wires or loose connections. After rewiring any connections to the NOTICE product, refer to GFCI testing section to ensure the product works properly before use.
