TROUBLESHOOTING Smoke This can happen for a variety of reasons e.g cold air trapped in chimney/flue. As cold air is denser, this causes smoke to be forced back down the chimney. We recommend trying to heat the chimney before lighting for example, placing a fire-lighter on top of the kindling.
