Chapter 7. Using Red Hat Network with Red Hat Linux 6.2
Red Hat Linux 6.2 shipped with a program named Red Hat Update Agent (
ever, this version of the Red Hat Update Agent can not be used to connect to Red Hat Net-
work to receive package updates. You need a new version of the Red Hat Update Agent and
the Red Hat Network Registration Client to use Red Hat Network on a Red Hat Linux 6.2
system.
To download and install these programs, use the following steps:
1. In a shell prompt, log in as root and execute the command
create a new directory in which to download the packages.
2. In the same shell prompt, execute the command
directory.
3. Go to http://rhn.redhat.com/help/rh62.pxt and download the necessary packages.
4. Go back to the shell prompt in the
