Description
Download packages only, do not install them. This argument will
override the configuration option Do not install packages after
retrieval. Use this option if you prefer to install the packages
manually.
Download SRPM packages in addition to the binary RPM
packages.
Do not download SRPM packages (overrides configuration
setting).
Force package installation. This option overrides the file,
package, and configuration skip lists.
Install packages after they are downloaded. This argument will
override the configuration option Do not install packages after
retrieval.
Display the list of updated packages that are available for the
system.
Show a list of all packages available for your release of Red Hat
Linux, including those not currently installed.
Specify a colon separated path of directories to look for packages
before trying to download them.
Do not use GPG to check package signatures. This option will
override the saved configuration option.
Update the packages associated with your System Profile on Red
Hat Network. Use this option if you install RPM packages
without using the Red Hat Update Agent.
Sends a comma separated list of dependencies to the RHN
servers and returns a list of packages that satisfies the
dependencies.
Performs the same action as --whatprovides in addition to
downloading the packages that are needed to resolve the
dependencies.
Specify a channel to use.
Show the flags that gpg will be invoked with.
Override the configured package directory. The default location
is
/var/spool/up2date

Update the system. All package updates for your system will be
downloaded based on your configured preferences (and installed
if you chose that option).
