Introduction

This installation manual is designed to take you through the step-by-step installation of the S-Shallow Downfire Cabinet. Please familiarize yourself with the owners manual and if you still have additional questions please call 1-800-TECH-101.

Note: To ensure safe use, Alwa s follow these precautions.
The installation of this product requires specialized skills and experience. We recommend that you have the product installed by an Alpine authorized dealer.
Before you use this product, be sure to carefully read this installation manual so that you can use the product correctly, Failing to do so could lead to damaged equipment or an accident. Alpine Electronics bears no responsibility for problems that arise as a result of failure to follow the instructions in the manual.

Make sure enclosure is secured to the vehicle. Failing to do so can lead to electric shock, injury or damage to equipment.
When making a hole in the vehicle body, be careful to avoid damaging pipes, the fuel tank, electrical wiring, and the like. This kind of damage could lead to an accident or fire.
Do not install the product where it may be exposed to water or in a place with high levels of humidity or dust. Doing so could lead to fire or damaged equipment.

Tools Required

Phillips Hand Screwdriver	Power Drill with Extended Phillips Bit

Parts List

Polymer Cabinet with Subwoofer Installed (1 Pc)	Steel Mounting Brackets (4 Pcs)

MSX12 Machine Screw Phillips (4 Pcs)	Sheet Metal Tapping Phillips Screw Head (8 Pcs)

Foam Insulation Pad (4 Pcs)	MS Star Washer (4 Pcs)

SS-S812, SS-S81 O Downfire Enclosure Install Instruction

Install the (4) Foam Insulation Pads in the Location Shown on the bottom side of the cabinet. Peel off the protective layer and press the adhesive side into position.
Place the (4) steel mounting bracket Into Desired Position. Each bracket can rotate 90 degrees.
Secure Each of the (4) Brackets by screwing the M5 x 12 Machine Screw Pictured. Firmly tighten the Phillips head into each Brass Insert using drill or hand screwdriver.
Place the enclosure face down and using a drill Secure the metal brackets using sheet metal screws. Install 2 Metal Screws in each Leg (8 Total)
Connect the Positive and Negative Speaker Output from your amplifier into the push terminal.
