    1 SAFETY WARNINGS 1.1 Warnings about the installation The DUAL CLIMA HT heat pump must be installed by personnel authorised by the Ministry of Industry, in compliance with the applicable laws and regulations. The precautions detailed here cover very important issues.     1.2 Heat pump refrigerant warnings The Dual Clima HT contains R290 refrigerant gas, which is highly flammable. In normal conditions of use, there is no risk of explosion and the refrigerant is non-toxic. However, in case of leakage, some aspects that could cause damages to third-parties must be taken into account, as the refrigerant could create a flammable atmosphere and give rise to fire or explosion.

    1.3 Transport, storage and handling warnings For the correct transport and handling of the unit, carefully follow the following safety warnings: The DUAL CLIMA HT heat pump must be transported, handled and stored in vertical • position. Placing the appliance on its side can cause the oil inside the compressor to spill out, causing premature compressor breakage on start-up.

    1.5 Freeze protection warnings The DUAL CLIMA HT is an appliance for installation on the outside of the building and it will consequently be exposed to frost during periods of extremely cold weather. It is therefore of utmost importance that these types of machines are protected against frost. If the water inside the heat pump freezes it can cause the pump to break, stopping its functioning and making costly repairs necessary.
