Description
RDS (Radio Data System) enables text information transmitted from VHF stati-
ons to be displayed. However, not every station includes RDS in its transmissi-
on signal. By pressing (maybe repeatedly) the "RDS" button, you can switch
the service on and off as well as select the different types of text information.
PS
By actuating (repeatedly, if needed) the button "RDS MODE" the RDS service
can be switched on or off as well as the various options of text information
can be selected. "RDS" is displayed on the screen, if one of the RDS modes is
RDS MODE
activated. The set RDS mode remains saved till the next time the tuner is swit-
(6)(28)
ched on. The STU-1 supports three following RDS modes:

This function can only be operated using the associated remote control but-
DIMMER
ton. When repeatedly pressed, the display (2) brightness is sequentially
(19)
reduced (1x or 2x), switched off (3x) and restored to the original, maxi-
mum brightness (4x).
The display window for the visible tube (2) can be illuminated with one of
three brightness settings, if that is desired. The switch "LAMP" allows selec-
tion between these three light levels as well as switching off the illumination
LAMP (15)
(setting "OFF"). Switch position "1" provides the lowest intensity and set-
ting "3" the maximum brightness. This function can only be adjusted on the
back of the unit. The button "DIMMER" (19) has no effect on the illuminati-
on of the tube display window.
