    As a second generation PCI Express* storage controller, the Intel RAID Controller RS25DB080 addresses the growing demand for increased data throughput and scalability requirements across entry level, midrange, and enterprise server platforms. The controller controls 8 internal SAS/SATA ports through two SFF-8087 Mini SAS x4 internal connectors.

    ® The Intel RAID Controller RS25DB080 has a 1GB memory board connected to it at factory, which integrated DDR3 667 MHz ECC SDRAM memory. This DIMM is connected directly to the memory controller interface bus of the ROC and serves as storage for the executable code transferred from the flash.

    The drive failure tones repeat until the problem is corrected, or until the alarm is silenced or disabled. The alarm can be silenced or disabled on the controller’s properties page in ® the BIOS Console or by using the failed drive options pane in the Intel RAID Web Console 2.

    SAS/SATA Connectors ® The Intel Integrated RAID controller RS25DB080 provides two internal SFF8087 SAS/SATA signal connectors. Each SFF8087 connector provides support for four SAS/SATA ports. The sideband signals are configured to adhere to the SFF-8485 Specifications for SGPIO support.
