or the gas supplier.
WARNING: This is an unvented gas-fired
heater. It uses air (oxygen) from the room
in which it is installed. Provisions for
adequate combustion and ventilation air
must be provided. Refer to Air for Com-
bustion and Ventilation section on page
4 of this manual.

Read the following in- structions to insure proper fresh air for this and other fuel-burning appliances in your home.

    INSTALLATION NOTICE: This heater is intended for use as supplemental heat. Use this heater along with your pri- mary heating system. Do not in- stall this heater as your primary heat source. If you have a central heating system, you may run system’s circulating blower while using heater.

    VENT-FREE PROPANE/LP GAS STOVE HEATER INSTALLATION Continued STOVE CAVITY ASSEMBLY 1. Lift off corrugated box enclosing stove body crating. 2. Remove all screws fastening the wood frame enclosure. Spread wood frame open and lift away from plastic-bagged stove body. The bottom pieces of pal- let wood will remain bolted to the stove body.
  • Page 9 INSTALLATION Continued 9. Fasten stove bottom to stove with four (4) M6 x 1 - 25mm bolts. Use a flat washer and lock washer with each bolt. Tighten bolts into threaded holes on stove body (see Figure 8, page 8 and 10).

    INSTALLATION Continued CONNECTING TO GAS SUPPLY WARNING: This appliance re- quires a 1/2" NPT (National Pipe Thread) inlet connection to the pressure regulator. WARNING: A qualified service person must connect heater to gas supply. Follow all local codes. CAUTION: Never connect heater directly to the propane/LP supply.

Locate sediment trap where it is within reach for cleaning. Install in piping system between fuel supply and heater. Lo- cate sediment trap where trapped matter is not likely to freeze.

The thermostat will gradually modulate the heat output and flame height from higher to lower settings, or pilot, in order to maintain the comfort level you select.

    CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE WARNING: Turn off heater and let cool before cleaning. CAUTION: You must keep control areas, burner, and circu- lating air passageways of heater clean. Inspect these areas of heater before each use. Have heater inspected yearly by a quali- fied service person.
