GENERAL INFORMATION In this manual the term “machine” refers to the various models of log-splitter. MANUFACTURER Docma Srl has extensive experience in the construction of machinery for forestry applications and for cutting and splitting firewood. SERVICE For any requirements regarding the use or maintenance of the machine or to order spare parts, custo- mers should contact an authorised service centre, or alternatively Docma Srl directly, specifying the machine identification data shown on the rating plate (Fig. 1).
STRUCTURE OF THE MANUAL The customer must carefully read the information contained in this manual, as the correct preparation, installation and use of the machine represent the basis for satisfying manufacturer-customer relations. The various models of machines are described in the following pages. All models with electric motor may be single-phase or three-phase.

ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS The machine must be positioned outdoors on level ground, or if required inside a building, as long as this is well lit, ventilated and has a solid and level floor. DECOMMISSIONING DISPOSAL During processing, waste materials, chips and sawdust are produced that must be collected, recycled or disposed of according to the laws in force in the country where the machine is used. DECOMMISSIONING THE MACHINE At the end of the working cycle of the machine as a whole, or of any worn component, make sure this is scrapped by contacting centres specialising in the disposal of such equipment.
