Unlike a conventional domestic deep fryer, the Magimix fryer has a cool zone between the heating element and the bottom of the oil reservoir so the oil remains cleaner and lasts for up to 30 fryings - twice as long as ordinary fryers.

This can be dangerous as condensation can form on the underside of the lid which in turn may drop into the hot oil causing it to spit or boil over.
