Questions and answers
Pilot will light but goes out as soon as I release the knob. Tilt switch is bypassed so should not be the issue.
A likely cause for the pilot light on an Allpro SPC-54PHW to go out when the knob is released is a faulty thermocouple. The thermocouple is a safety device that senses the pilot flame and keeps the gas valve open. If it is damaged, dirty, or not properly positioned in the flame, it may not generate the required signal to keep the pilot lit, causing it to go out when the knob is released.
