enables the uninterruptable and emission free
supply of communication equipment in vehicles,
remote stations and containers.

The Tactical Power Supply Unit TPS R provides electrical power for
communication equipment with 24VDC nominal voltage. It is optimized for
operation of sensitive radio receivers and gets supplied by different sources
such as AC mains, generator or vehicle power. An additional system battery
covers peak demands and supplies uninterrupted power. Internal control
circuits protect the equipment. An integrated display informs the local user
of relevant data such as source voltage or load current. The Tactical Power
Supply Unit TPS R offers five different protected connections and allows for
parallel operation in order to increase the available power.

- Page 3 PRODUCT SHEET: TPS R FuncTionS The Ascom Tactical Power Supply Unit TPS R supports the following modes of operation: Mobile Operation If the vehicle motor is running the loads are fed from the vehicle alternator via the TPS R. At the same time the system battery is charged via the TPS R. If the vehicle motor is not running, the flow of energy is inverted: vehicle battery and system battery supply the TPS R and the connected loads.
