Support has been added for the new ITU-T voice quality testing standard
algorithm, POLQA/P.863. As networks move towards 4G, POLQA will provide
a new opportunity to benchmark the voice quality of competing mobile
technologies. POLQA capabilities include:
Provides a technology update to the previous ITU-T testing standard,
PESQ/P.862.
Is suitable for high definition voice, 3G, and 4G/LTE technologies.
Provides a voice quality testing solution for fixed, mobile, and IP-based
networks.
Enhances the accuracy of MOS measurements.
To accommodate the testing of new voice codecs like AMR-WB, a
wideband speech testing option has been added. Based on the POLQA
algorithm, the wideband speech option provides new speech samples which
are optimized for testing either narrowband speed (up to 3.2kHz) or wide-
band speech (up to 7kHz). Support has been added for several new devices,
including the Nokia C5.
