ORTNER Wood-fired oven (HBO)
To avoid any errors, please first carefully read our assembly instructions!
CAUTION: The door must be provided as a covering door; the oven opening is smaller
than the door (see chapter "Plaster support surface")
The assembly manual provided below should merely serve as a guide. The details can
be designed individually.
The respective national or local regulations and general provisions, stipulations and
codes of practice must be complied with.

Build the foundation, considering recesses for the ash pan and insulation height.
Adjust insulation level and cast the cover
Adjust insulation levels and cast the cover in concrete, ensuring surface water drainage.
Begin construction of inner parts
Start building the inner parts of the Ortner HBO once the foundation is complete.
Assembly of the interior parts
Model 0 base plate assembly
Slide and secure base plates for Model 0 using fitter's wire clamps; assemble dry.
Model 1 & 2 base plate assembly
Slide and secure base plates for Models 1 & 2 using fitter's wire clamps; assemble flush and dry.
Model 3 & 4 base plate assembly
Assemble base plates for Models 3 & 4 using clamps, packing strips, and metal aids; assemble dry.
Insert assembly aids and create gap
Insert assembly aids, join parts, create a 6 mm gap, and remove aids.
Close gap with packing strip and clamp
Close the 6 mm gap with a packing strip and clamp parts, ensuring plates press against it.
Further assembly (all models)
Place base plates on insulation
Place the base plates on the insulation to create the base plate structure; do not bond.
Position connection adapter and assemble jacket segments
Position the connection adapter and assemble jacket segments dry using tongue and groove system.
Insulation of the jacket segments
Cover segments with rock wool and Stauss fabric
Cover jacket segments with rock wool (min. 10 cm) and Stauss fabric for insulation and plaster base.
Plaster base surface
Create plaster base surface
Create a plaster base on mineral wool using suitable materials, considering door connection and cleaning opening.
