It is important that you adjust the speed as you approach the log and will clamp around the tree. Approach always the material to be cut so that the felling head is at 90 degree angle to the log.

ENERGY CUTTER BC18/BC25 Original instruction Fluid for the hydraulic system Mineral-based hydraulic fluid and various environmental oils are recommended when using the cutter. The fluid must not contain water. If the temperature of the hydraulic fluid is high, this causes the machine's seals to become worn earlier than normal.

If you want to use BC18 as a grapple, the tilt has to be locked. This is done in the tilted down position. Begin by closing the grapple so that it tilts down, undo the locking nut (1) and then screw in the adjustment screw (2) 3–4 turns.
