Pool / Spa Pump Set-Up and Operation To achieve better pump self-priming, install the pump below the water level of the pool. • It is recommended that Teflon tape is used on all threads and plumbing. • It is recommended to have the pump and any pool plumbing installed by a suitably qualified person. -
