IMPORTANT NOTES! There are no user serviceable parts inside the charger. Do not open the charger by yourself. If the cord or wires to the crocodile clips become damaged return the unit for repair. Do not let the charger unattended for long periods of time. When the battery is being charged you may notice bubbling in the fluid caused by the release of gas.
PREPARATION FOR CHARGING Before charging check that the capacity of the battery (Ah) is not less than 20 Ah, that the battery is suitable type for charging with this charger and the voltage of the battery is suit- able for charging with this charger. Remove the caps of the battery charger (if fitted) to let the gas produced escape.
WARNING! LOW OR NO MAINTENANCE OF THE BATTERY. Charge these types of battery slowly and keep on checking the voltage at the battery terminal with a multimeter. When the voltage reaches 14.4 Volts for a 12 Volt battery or 28.8 Volt for a 24 volt battery.
TIMER FUNCTION RPBC 520 and RBC620 only. The charging switch positions 4, 5 and 6 on these models are for boost charging the battery. Then any of these positions are selected the charge timer is activated. The charge timer can then be set to boost charge time up to 60 minutes.

Should service become necessary during the warranty period, the purchaser should contact an Authorised Service Centre or J W Ross. In order to obtain warranty service, the purchaser must present the store receipt showing the name of the retailer and the date of purchase.
