Overview
This device is designed to provide clinicians safe access to vials by preventing needlestick injuries
caused by one hand holding the vial and another exposed hand holding medication vial. This product
allows two-handed draws of critical patient medications in a variety of anesthesia, operating room,
radiology, obstetrics, pain management, and critical care settings.
A secondary benefit of this device is that it reduces instances of improper medication dispensation
as the device allows medication vials to be inserted label-side up to improve readability of medicine
names. The device includes seven slots to hold a variety of medicine vial sizes to meet your patient's
unique needs.
Instructions for Use
1. Securely fasten the holder to the surface table or mayo stand using the threaded bolt.
2. Insert the vial with the vial cap facing away from the IV pole and ensure the vial label is facing
up. Listen for a snap.
3. Use the "Safe Lid" shown below to lock the vial in place (see page 2 for instructions)
4. Take medicine draw in accordance with best clinical practices, syringe, needle, and medicine
vial instructions for use.
Product Warnings/Information
• Product is non-sterile
• Product is intended for re-use. Clean prior to re-use with a facility approved disinfectant.
• Not a MRI safe device
• Product is not made with natural rubber latex
• Most vials will click and lock into place. Please note, however, vials are manufactured by many

companies with different measurement tolerances. This may prevent certain medications from
providing an audible click and tight fit. To ensure safe draws, if you do not hear an audible click,
make sure the vial is immobile prior to drawing medication. The use of the "Safe Lid" is
recommended in these situations. (see backside, page 2)
