• Place scale on a hard, flat surface with little vibration.
• Do not place near electrical or magnetic fields, or in a place where there is an obvious change of temperature.
• Do not dismantle the unit, as this may cause damage.
• When cleaning is necessary, use a mild detergent.
• Do not use the scale for items that exceed the weight capacity of the scale. If the limit is exceeded, the display will read "H".
• Overloading of the scale can lead to irreversible damage.
Power:
This scale operates using the included AC power adapter or four AA batteries (not included). If the scale is not to be used for over a month,
we recommend removing the batteries.
"ON/OFF" Powers the scale on or o .
"MODE"
Use to enter calibration modes, select units of measure, or recalibrate.
"TARE"
Resets scale to zero. Use to subtract the weight of the container from the item you are weighing.
"HOLD"
The scale will hold the weight value in case the display is blocked while weighing.
"C/R"
Switch between "Precision Mode" and "High Capacity Mode".
"PCS"
Pieces counting function. Use to go between "Pieces Counting Mode" and "Weighing Mode".
Use:
1. Power on the scale. It will flash, then register as "0".
2. Press "MODE" to choose the preferred unit of measure. It will switch between "kg" - "oz" - "lb".
3. Gently place the item to be weighed on to the weighing platform.
4. Once weights have been recorded, remove item and power off.
PCS Function:
1. Press down the "PCS" button to initiate counting mode. The screen will display "0".
2. Press the "PCS" button again to enter the sample collecting process. The screen should display "PC-25", meaning the sample collected
should be 25 pieces. Press "PCS" again to increase sample size.
3. After choosing the correct sample size on the display, place the exact number of the sample objects on the weighing platform.
4. Press the "PCS" button again and wait for the screen to display the number of objects. Then, remove the sample objects.
5. The counting function is calibrated. You may place more units of the object to be counted.
Calibration:
This scale has already been calibrated for your convenience.
To test if the scale needs to be recalibrated, place a standard weight on the weighing platform. If there is a positive or negative difference that
exceeds the difference allowed as specified in the technical specifications of the standard weight, then the scale should be recalibrated.
To Recalibrate:
1. When the scale is powered off, press both the "ON/OFF" and "MODE" buttons at the same time for approximately three seconds. Remove
your fingers from both buttons simultaneously and the screen should display "000000".
2. Press the "MODE" button again to cycle through the required recalibration weights of 25kg, 50kg, or 100kg, represented by "E-25", "E-50",
and "E-100" respectively.
3. Once you have selected the recalibration weight that matches your standard weight, place the standard weight on the platform.
4. Wait until the scale displays "GOOD" and then it should power off automatically. This ends the recalibration process.
Trouble Shooting:
"H": The scale has exceeded its weight limit and will no register an accurate reading.
"-E": no display. Replace or readjust the batteries.
