- Page 3 OPERATION 1. Ensure that the syringe is clean and free of debris and old hydraulic fluid. Remove the hydraulic fluid reservoir cap from the vehicle. 2. Some hydraulic fluids will erode paint, so be mindful not to spill any. 3. Connect the hose with the adapter. Feed the hose into the appropriate access point. Ensure that the tip of the probe is immersed fully into the fluid.
