  • Page 2 FOLD-OUT CARRIER ASSEMBLY & INSTALLATION Assemble Base 1) Thread hex bolt (I) through bottom hole of column (D) and base (E). (See figure 2.1.) 2) Secure with lock nut (C). 3) Torque nut to 30 ft. lbs. 4) Insert clevis pin (G) through top holes of column and base. (See figures 2.1 and 2.2.) 5) Secure clevis pin with cotter hairpin (H).
  • Page 3 SPARE TIRE MOUNTING 1) Insert 1-1/2” carriage bolts (M) through the holes in the carrier loop (Q) as shown in Figure 4. 2) Hold the carriage bolts in place by forcing spring clips (N) onto the bolt threads as shown in Figure 4. 3) Mount tire rim onto top carriage bolt (M) as shown in Figure 5.
