8100-3 Hose
(1/4" ID x 25/64" OD)
cAutION: to prevent personal injury, wear
eye protection that meets ANSI Z87.1 and
OSHA standards.
1. Attach the 8100-1 hose (with the quick coupler and
shutoff valve) to the fluid extractor as shown.
2. Close the shutoff valve on the hose by fully turning
the valve clockwise or counterclockwise.
3. Insert the 8100-3 suction tube into the opening of
the fluid to be extracted. If using the 8100-2 brake
bleeder suction hose to bleed brakes, attach the
suction tube to the brake bleeder on the wheel
cylinder or caliper.
4. Attach the selected suction tube to the quick coupler
on the 8100-1 suction adapter hose.

1. Open the shutoff on the 8100-1 suction adapter

hose. Turn the valve 1/4 turn so the valve handle
is in-line with the hose.
2. Connect shop air to the air fitting on the 8101.
3. Open the shutoff valve on the air supply valve. Turn
the valve 1/4 turn so the valve handle is in-line with
the air supply line.
4. The air pump will draw fluid into the 8101.
Brake Bleeder Suction Hose
Refer to the vehicle service manual, and follow the
manufacturer's brake bleeding sequence.
cAutION: to prevent equipment damage, do not
completely empty the master cylinder of brake
fluid.
1. Attach the 8100-2 hose to the brake bleeder.
2. With the air pump operating, open the brake bleeder
screw 1/2 to 1 turn. Brake fluid will be sucked
through the 8100-2 hose and into the 8101.
3. Close the bleeder screw when no air bubbles are
seen in the fluid being sucked through the 8100-2
hose.
4. Check the brake fluid level in the master cylinder,
and refill if needed.
5. Repeat the procedure for the next bleeder.
to empty the 8101, remove the 8100-1 suction adapter
hose and pour the contents into an appropriate waste
container.
