How does the solar panel work?
During the daytime, the solar panel converts solar energy into electricity, which is stored in
the rechargeable battery. At dusk, when the sensor is unable to detect any other light
sources nearby, the LED, which is powered by the stored electricity, the bulb will turn
on automatically. The illumination duration will be dependent on location, weather
conditions and seasonal sunlight availability.
How to use the solar light?
When you take out the solar bird feeder from the box, please find the power switch on the
solar panel and push it to the "ON" position by pressing the button. Then place the bird
feeder in the sunlight for a whole day to charge it fully before the first-time use in order to
optimize performance. If the light does NOT turn on automatically at dusk after charging for
at least 6 hours , please follow the instructions below:
1. Check whether the solar panel has been exposed to the sun.
2. Check if there is any other light sources nearby since it may prevent the light from
being turned on.
How to choose an optimal location?
The ideal location for your solar bird feeder is a place where the solar panel can be exposed
to the sunlight for at least 6 hours each day. Shady locations will lessen the energy received
and may shorten the use time. The solar panel should not be placed near any artificial light
sources (such as streetlights), which will prevent the LED from working, or cause flashing.
This is because that the solar panel is highly light-sensitive and will automatically turn the
LED off if there is a detectable light source. The detectable light sources, for examples, can be
sunlight, spotlights, streetlights, torches, interior lights, etc.
Precautions:
Although the manufacturer has charged the battery in advance, the battery may have been
low when you receive it. The surface of the solar panel must be kept clean, otherwise, the
efficiency of the panel may be influenced. In order to ensure the viewing effect at
night, please add less than 90% of the seeds
