Use DataComm Electronics 1-gang recessed cable plate with mounting
bracket behind your flat panel TV, (see Figure 1), your amplifier or
other audio and video devices. The 45-6001-WH-S can be installed upright
or upside down.
Installing the Low Voltage Mounting Bracket
• Determine the location of your flat panel TV, amplifier or audio/video device.
• Hold the included low voltage mounting bracket with the face against the
wall in your desired location.
• Use pencil and trace the two flat sides of the bracket (see fig. 2)
• Rotate the bracket 180º, aligning start and end points from your first mark
and repeat previous step (see figure 3)
• Cut along the traced line with a drywall saw or utility knife.
• Insert low voltage mounting bracket into opening. Tighten down each of the
screws. As the wings tighten they will catch the back of the drywall, securing
the plate in place.
Installing the 1-Gang Recessed Cable Plate
• Run your low voltage cables through the low voltage mounting bracket.
• Pull cables through the recessed low voltage cable plate.
• Place the recessed low voltage cable plate onto the low voltage mounting
bracket and secure with the included screws.
CAUTION
Never install low voltage wiring during lightning storms.
Never install low voltage wiring in wet locations unless the
wire is specifically designed for wet locations.
Never touch un-insulated low voltage wires or terminals unless
the wire has been disconnected at its source.
Use caution when installing low voltage cables.
