Anker Soundsync Manual

Welcome

With this Soundsync, you can:

  • Enable your non-Bluetooth speakers to play music from your Bluetooth-enabled devices such as smartphones or tablets.
  • Enable your non-Bluetooth devices such as a traditional MP3 player, TV or PC to transmit audio wirelessly to your Bluetooth speaker.

Charging

  • Use the provided or certified cable to prevent any damage.
  • Fully charge your Soundsync before the first use.
  • Disconnect your Soundsync from the charger when fully charged. Do not charge for extended periods.

Connecting

SPDIF mode
SPDIF (Sony/Philips Digital Interface) is a type of digital audio interconnect used in consumer audio equipment to output audio over reasonably short distances. The signal is transmitted over a coaxial cable with RCA connectors or an optical cable with TOSLINK connectors.

AUX mode

  • Although SPDIF mode is the default mode, Soundsync will automatically switch to AUX mode when a 3.5mm audio cable is plugged in.

Transmit Mode (TX)

To enter Transmit mode, turn the TX/RX switch to the TX position.
Connect Soundsync to a non-Bluetooth multimedia device (such as TV, PC) via a 3.5mm audio cable or an optical cable. The audio source from the device can be transmitted to a Bluetooth headphone or speaker via Soundsync.

Connect to two Bluetooth headphones/speakers at a time

  • This function is only available in TX mode.
  • You can play music on two headphones/speakers at a time.
  1. Pair your Soundsync with the first Bluetooth headphone/speaker via Bluetooth. Once successfully connected, turn off both your Soundsync and the first Bleutooth headphone/speaker.
  2. Turn on the Bluetooth on your second headphone/speaker. Press and hold the multi-function button for 2 seconds or press twice to enter Bluetooth pairing mode.
  3. Place your Soundsync next to the second headphone/speaker and wait for 30 seconds for connection. Once successfully connected, turn off your Soundsync.
  4. Turn your first headphone/speaker on, then turn on your Soundsync and wait for another 30 seconds. Both headphones/speakers will have sound if successfully connected.
  • If the connection fails, reboot your Soundsync or repeat the steps above.

Receive Mode (RX)

To enter Receive mode, turn the TX/RX switch to the RX position.
Connect your Soundsync to a non-Bluetooth headphone, speaker, or car stereo etc. Via a 3.5mm audio cable. Then pair your Soundsync with a Bluetooth-enabled smartphone or tablet via Bluetooth. The music from your Bluetooth-enabled device then can be transmitted to the nonBluetooth headphone, speaker or car stereo etc.

Connect to two smartphones/tablets at a time

  • This function is only available in RX mode.
  • Soundsync can only receive audio source from one smartphone/tablet at a time.
  1. Connect the first smartphone/tablet to your Soundsync, turn off Bluetooth on your first smartphone/tablet once connected.
  2. Press the multi-function button twice to enter Bluetooth pairing mode. Pair the second smartphone or tablet with your Soundsync.
  3. When the second smartphone/tablet is successfully connected to Soundsync, turn on the Bluetooth on your first smartphone/tablet again, and find "Anker Soundsync" on the Bluetooth list to connect.
