7. Assembly With a 14 mm wrench use the carriage bolts, nuts and washers, to attach Fig. 7.1 the stand legs to the stand shelf, using the square holes in the legs and stand. Ensure the washers are placed behind the nuts, on the insides of the legs.

7. Assembly Fitting the Gas Springs Fig. 7.16 The gas springs are supplied with nylon locking nuts, bolts and washers attached and these must be removed prior to installation. To allow free movement of the gas springs, do not fully tighten the fixings.

7. Assembly Attach the left and right hand fences to the fence assembly bracket using Fig. 7.22 the pre-installed nuts, bolts and washers as shown in Fig. 7.22 with a 10 mm wrench. Ensure the fixings are positioned as in Fig. 7.23. To make sure the fences are parallel, align the front of the fence assembly bracket with the fronts of the fence mounts, Fig.

8. Fitting a Router to the Router Table Place the router on the mounting plate with the router bit positioned centrally in the table opening, Fig. 8.5. Once the clamps are positioned Fig. 8.5 over the router base as shown in Fig. 8.6 tighten them by hand to hold the router in position then tighten further using a 14 mm wrench on the hexagonal shafts of the clamps.
9. Operation WARNING: Before attempting to make adjustments to any settings make Fig. 9.1 sure that the power supply to the machine is switched off and the Work clamps supply cord is removed from the outlet. Serious injury may occur if the router is started while making adjustments.

Operation Using the Sliding Table Fig. 9.7 Before using the sliding table the lock tabs on either side of the table must be disengaged by rotating them 180º to be clear of the table assembly, Fig. 9.7. When larger workpieces are being machined, it is recommended that Lock tabs the sliding table be used.

9. Operation Using the Cast Iron Table Fig. 9.12 When machining small workpieces use of the sliding table may be unnecessary and use of the cast iron table may be preferable. The fence assembly can be turned around and re-fixed to two holes closer to the sliding table as shown in Fig.
