  • Page 2 • ALWAYS wait until both can and housing are cool before touching. • NEVER use organic fuel (wood, gasoline) in your RescueHeat – use only the canned heat. • NEVER carry the RescueHeat with lit cans. • NEVER touch the housing with your bare hands while the cans are lit.
  • Page 3 RESCUEHEAT FEATURES: The RescueHeat is a self-contained space heater that not only heats, but can cook food! The RescueHeat is special because it does not need to be plugged in and does not require batteries so it can be used in a power outage to help keep you warm and fed.

  • Page 5 ASSEMBLY 1. Set the RescueHeat on a heat-safe surface – it will get hot. Your stovetop, fireplace hearth or ceramic tile are great choices. Do not use on carpet, plastic sheeting/furniture or other meltable surfaces. 2. Unclip locks on the front corners. Hinge open the housing top.

    CARE AND MAINTENANCE • Clean the RescueHeat Emergency Heater & Stove after every use. Wash with warm, soapy water and dry thoroughly. Do not scour surface; scouring can cause the metal to rust. • For storage, simply place tightly sealed canned heat canisters and grate back into the housing unit and lock clips.
