Before you start the setup process, get your ISP information and make sure the computers and devices in the network have the settings described here.

Follow the onscreen instructions to download and install the NETGEAR Live Parental Controls Management utility. After installation, Live Parental Controls automatically starts.

This seal means that the product is authorized by the Wi-Fi Alliance (http://www.wi-fi.org/) because it complies with the worldwide single standard for high-speed wireless local area networking.

The modem router is shipped preconfigured to use private IP addresses on the LAN side and to act as a DHCP server.

The modem router assigns IP, DNS server, and default gateway addresses to all computers connected to the LAN. The assigned default gateway address is the LAN address of the modem router.

    When you specify a reserved IP address for a computer on the LAN, that computer always receives the same IP address each time it accesses the modem router’s DHCP server. NETGEAR recommends that you assign a reserved IP address to a computer or server that requires permanent IP settings.
