Calibration The MIDI upgrade board is supplied fully tested and pre-calibrated in a Bit One, however due to variation between units and calibration of the synth itself, some adjustment may be required. These adjustments must be done with the power on, so exercise caution when working - there is live mains voltage present in the power supply section.
Changing settings The MIDI upgrade board’s settings are configured with keys on the keyboard while the synth is in tape mode, indicated by the TAPE LED being illuminated. Original tape load / save functions remain unchanged. See next page for full explanation of settings. Settings are stored in non-volatile memory and are recalled at power-on, with the exception of bypass mode and arpeggiator active, which always default to off at startup;...
MIDI receive channel 1-16 (default = 1) Sets the MIDI channel on which the Bit One will receive MIDI messages. Setting any channel 1 to 16 will also turn off bypass mode (see below). Bypass mode (default = off) If bypass mode is active, the MIDI upgrade board’s features (pitch bend, mod wheel, sustain pedal, arpeggiator and channel filter) are all turned off and all MIDI messages are passed straight through to the Bit One’s CPU, regardless of type or channel.
