Carbon Monoxide Detector with Figaro Sensor
1. Introduction
Please read this installation guide carefully before using the product. This manual provides basic information on safe use, installation
instructions and correct operation of the device. The device described in this manual is intended only for the use for which it was specifically
designed. Any other use is considered improper and dangerous. Keep this instruction sheet.
2. Applications / Use
The appliance may not be used in ways other than those indicated in this manual. Use the product only in dry indoor locations. Failure to
follow the instructions and safety precautions in this manual may result in fatal accidents, injuries and damage to people or property. The
manufacturer/supplier is not liable for damage resulting from use that is not in accordance with the intended use.
3. Description
This battery operated carbon monoxide detector is designed and tested to detect the presence of CO in a residential environment. It uses a
Figaro electrochemical sensor with high sensitivity, stable performance, excellent anti-interference ability, small size and long life. It can
provide with sensor failure, low battery, end of life and low CO concentration warnings.
4. Features
Accurate Monitoring: Uses advanced Figaro electrochemical sensor to ensure high reliability and more responsive performance, avoiding
the possibility of false alarms.
Digital Temperature Compensation Technology: Ensures the detector works properly in various environmental conditions.
Anti-RF Interference: Protects the detector from radio frequency interference that may affect its performance.
Digital Display: Monitors carbon monoxide levels in real time, displayed on the LCD screen for easy reading. Backlight allows visibility in the
dark (in case of alarm activation).
85 Decibel Alarm Warning: When the carbon monoxide gas concentration reaches the preset value, the alarm will sound in time. The high
volume allows you to react faster and make quick decisions to protect your safety.
Silent Mode: Allows you to silence an unwanted alarm.
Battery Powered: It can provide 24/7 protection with battery power, no need to worry about power outages, and also eliminates the
trouble of cables.
Battery Replacement Reminder: When the battery voltage of the detector drops below the optimal level, the device will emit a warning
tone and the LED will start flashing. This way, the user is promptly informed of the need to replace the batteries, avoiding the risk of
forgetting this important operation and ensuring the detector works properly.
5. Safety warnings
Proper installation is essential for the long-lasting operation of the product and should be performed by qualified technical personnel. To avoid
personal injury and damage to the product, users should pay attention to the following safety tips.
This carbon monoxide alarm is designed to detect carbon monoxide and CANNOT be used to detect smoke or other gases. Since the
coverage area of CO detection is limited, we recommend installing CO detectors in every room of the house to effectively protect the
entire family.
This detector indicates the presence of carbon monoxide in the internal sensor. CO gas may be present in other areas.
The detector is designed to detect carbon monoxide, but cannot prevent leaks.
This detector is NOT a smoke, fire, heat or other gas detector. It is ONLY designed to detect carbon monoxide from any combustion source.
This device is intended for use in private homes. It is not suitable for commercial or industrial applications or for use on recreational or
commercial vessels.
This detector is intended to protect people from the acute effects of carbon monoxide. It cannot provide complete safety for people with
certain medical conditions. If in doubt, consult a doctor.
Gas appliances/devices should only be installed by qualified personnel. Maintain appliances/devices in good mechanical condition and
have them checked regularly.
The installation of the CO detector should not be used as a substitute for proper installation, use and maintenance of fuel-fired systems,
including appropriate ventilation and evacuation systems.
The carbon monoxide detector should not be painted or covered as this may limit its functionality.
The carbon monoxide detector must be replaced within 10 years of first being put into service. After this period the product can no longer
be used.
Do not place near heat sources or where it is exposed to direct sunlight.
Use in dry and clean places. Avoid contact of surfaces with liquids, detergents and oils.
The product is not a toy; it should not be left within the reach of children or pets.
Batteries should not be disassembled, thrown into fire or dispersed in the environment. Improper use may cause harm to the environment
and health.
Danger of disassembling and repairing the alarm without authorization: The detector has been calibrated before leaving the factory. If you
disassemble it without authorization and modify any component or software, it may cause false alarms or malfunctions. Therefore, please
do not disassemble or modify any component or program.
NEVER ignore any alarm.
If there is any doubt as to the cause of an alarm, it should be assumed that the alarm is due to dangerous levels of carbon monoxide and
the home should be evacuated.
See Section 18 "What to Do in the Event of an Alarm" for more information on how to respond to an alarm. Failure to respond could result
in injury or death.
Test this carbon monoxide detector once a week.
If it does not function properly, replace it immediately. If the carbon monoxide alarm is not functioning properly, it cannot warn you of a
problem.
