In this user manual, you will find information on how the AIRDING and the MINERVA AIRBAG SYSTEM work, as well as proper usage instructions.

    SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS USAGE RESTRICTIONS / EXCLUSIONS The airbag system does not replace wearing a helmet while cycling. The AirRide and AirTour models must always be worn in combination with a helmet. The AirCruise is aimed at habitual non-helmet users. Additionally, the system cannot always provide protection, such as in cases of direct collisions or specific accident situations.

Although unlikely, it cannot be ruled out that the magnet in the buckle may cause issues with electronic implants such as pacemakers or defibrillators. Adjusting the upper body length: Before loading the system and inserting the inflator, make sure that the AIRDING is adjusted to your individual upper body length. 2. Observe protected areas: The airbag and back protector only offer protection in the covered areas.

  • Page 21 COMMISSIONING ACTIVATION AND DEACTIVATION OF THE SYSTEM The system is activated and deactivated by closing the activation buckle (Fig. 6.1-6.5). 1. Important! Parking position of the activation buckle: Ensure that the activation buckle is always in the parking position (Fig. 6.1, 6.2). This prevents it from closing automatically due to magnetic attraction, which could lead to an unintended activation.

The LED indicates this by blinking red three times and then turning off. The activation buckle should now be placed in the parking position on both the right and left shoulder straps.

    BEFORE EVERY USE OF THE AIRDING Before each ride, check the functionality of the AIRDING. Please follow these guidelines: Be aware that carrying sharp or pointed objects can compromise the protective function of all protectors. Do not carry glass bottles or explosive materials, as well as easily flammable or corrosive liquids in the backpack.

  • Page 27 REUSE OF THE MINERVA AIRBAG SYSTEM If the triggering conditions are reached in the event of a fall or a fall-like situation, the MINERVA AIRBAG SYSTEM deploys automatically and the LED on the activation buckle lights up red continuously. After a visual inspection and using a new, original inflator, as well as correctly folding the airbag, the system can be made functional again.

Backpack positioning Place the backpack with the back protector facing up (Fig. 7.1). 2. Check airbag position Make sure that the back of the backpack and mostly the gray side Fig.

  • Page 33 5. Folding and storing the airbag Fold the airbag like an accordion, lengthwise, into three or four layers (Fig. 8.4). Fold one layer of pleats up and down alternately. The flatter you fold the layers here, the thinner the straps will be. Make sure NOT TO ROLL UP the airbag, as it may deploy incorrectly.
