PR24-DUG vs PR24-XUG switch. DIP switch settings and multiple control signals allow flexible configurations to trigger the power relays. The PR22-WM and PR43-WM have all the functionality of this family in the smallest gang-box footprint possible including spade connectors for relay contacts and screw terminals for power, DMX, a switched +12VDC output, remote Force-On of multiple channels, and individual channel DC voltage inputs.

Electrical Installation All members of the PRxx family, require an AC power source to supply the logic circuits and drive the relays. The installer is free to use the same source that supplies the main power switched by the relays or it can be a completely separate source needing less than 50mA at 100 to 277 Volts AC 50/60Hz.

Those contacts are only rated for Phase 2 Phase 1 switching a maximum of 20A up to (120V) (120V) 277VAC. The loads connected to the PR22-WM and PR43-WM models will need their neutral to 240V terminals wired back to the source panel...
  • Page 7: Grounding

Grounding The term “grounding” refers to a separate wire, usually with green insulation, which is connected from the equipment case to earth ground. When properly connected, the ground can protect people from a shock hazard in the case of a failure shorting power to the chassis. This is not the same as the neutral or common and must not be confused with them.
  • Page 8 PR24-XUG — NOTE: Do not use screw terminals for DMX I/O on the -XUG models. The pack accepts DMX-512 control signals. DMX control signals are input through the three terminals COM (XLR Pin 1), -IN (XLR Pin 2), and IN+ (XLR Pin 3) of the control terminal block (or the XLR connectors of the -XUG models).
  • Page 9 active when any of them have had their Take Control button pressed regardless of the analog signal levels. This input is referenced to the COM input and should be less than +0.5 VDC for off and from +3 to 18VDC for on. Applying voltages between 0.5V and 3V to this input can lead to relay chatter damaging the relay.
  • Page 10: Switched 12V Output

Switched 12V Output There is a switched 12VDC (SW12) output that can supply up to 400mA for accessories such as the Dove 0-10V House Light Control Consoles or our MTX-YAMP. This signal also requires the use of the Common terminal and is turned on either when the DMX signal is not present or when DIP Switch 6 is turned on.

  • Page 12: Dmx Termination

DMX Termination DMX termination may be made using the DIP switch 1 on the circuit board. Signal reflections can cause corruption of the DMX-512 data, typically causing flickering or flashing of lights in systems with long (>100 ft total) cable runs. Only the last unit in the chain should have termination enabled.

Force-On input by momentarily shorting it to common will confirm if the relays operate by hearing them click. Ensure that the unit is receiving good power — check the signal LED which should be green if a DMX signal is being received or red when there is no DMX attached. If it is receiving good power at the Line and Neutral screw terminals and the LED is off, then there is something wrong with the board and it should be sent in for repair.

Service technicians are generally available between the hours of 8am to 3pm (Pacific Time) Monday through Friday. It is helpful to have a complete description of the problem and to be in the theatre or otherwise have access to the equipment when placing the call.
