Thank you for your purchase of this quality clock. The utmost care has gone into the
design and manufacture of your clock. Please read these instructions
carefully and store them in a safe place for future reference.

The following instructions explain how to operate your Westclox digital alarm clock.
INSTALLING OR REPLACING THE BATTERIES (FOR THE CLOCK)
1. Remove the battery compartment cover located on the back of the clock by using
your index finger to gently pull down on the latch until you feel the cover release
and open.
2. Install three fresh alkaline "AA" size batteries into the battery compartment. Make
sure the polarity is correct by following the (+ or -) symbols engraved inside.
3. Replace the battery compartment cover.
IMPORTANT: Extended storage can cause batteries to leak and damage the unit.
Leaky batteries should be discarded immediately. Skin burns or other personal injury
can result. Always dispose of batteries according to federal, state and local regulations.

- Do not mix old and new batteries
- Do not mix alkaline, standard (carbon-zinc), or rechargeable (ni-cad, nimh, etc)

INSTALLING OR REPLACING THE BATTERIES
(FOR THE WIRELESS OUTDOOR TEMPERATURE SENSOR)
Note: The wireless sensor comes installed on the optional mounting bracket.
1. Remove the sensor from the bracket by holding the back of the bracket in one
hand and with your other hand pull the sensor away from the bracket.
2. Remove the battery compartment cover located on the back of the sensor by
sliding the cover in the direction of the arrow marked on the cover.
3. Install two fresh alkaline "AA" size batteries into the battery compartment. Make
sure the polarity is correct by following the (+ or -) symbols engraved inside.
4. Replace the battery compartment cover. The sensor should then be reattached
to the mounting bracket
IMPORTANT: Extended storage can cause batteries to leak and damage the unit.

SETTING THE TIME & YEAR
1. Press and hold the TIME / CALENDAR set button located on the front of the
clock for 3 seconds to enter the TIME and CALENDAR setting mode. The hour
digit will begin to flash indicating your are in the time setting mode.
2. Intermittently pressing and releasing the ADJUST button will advance the hour
for the time of day in one hour increments. Press the ADJUST button as
necessary until the correct hour is displayed.
Note: If you are in the 12 hour time format, be sure you are in the correct AM or
PM time period. When the "PM" indicator appears on the display, the time
displayed is in the 12 hour period between 12:00 noon and midnight.
3. Press the TIME / CALENDAR button to exit the hour setting and enter the
minute setting mode.
4. Intermittently pressing and releasing the ADJUST button will advance the minute
for the time of day in one minute increments. Press the ADJUST button as
necessary until the correct minute is displayed.
5. Press the TIME / CALENDAR button to exit the minute setting and enter the
year setting mode.
6. Intermittently pressing and releasing the ADJUST button will advance the year in
one year increments. Press the ADJUST button as necessary until the correct
year is displayed.
7. Press the TIME / CALENDAR button to exit the year setting and enter the month
setting mode.
8. Intermittently pressing and releasing the ADJUST button will advance the month
in one month increments. Press the ADJUST button as necessary until the
correct month is displayed.
9. Press the TIME / CALENDAR button to exit the month setting and enter the date
setting mode.
10. Intermittently pressing and releasing the ADJUST button will advance the date
in one day increments. Press the ADJUST button as necessary until the correct
date is displayed.
Note: The day of the week will automatically set according to the month, date, and
year.
11. Press the TIME / CALENDAR button to exit setting mode.
Note: If no settings are made within 30 seconds, the clock will exit the setting
mode and automatically return to the normal time display mode. If this happens,
you will need to start the setting procedure again from step 1.
SETTING THE ALARM TIME
Note: The clock has two alarms. Be sure you are setting the correct alarm by
checking the ALARM TIME indicator "Alarm 1" and "Alarm 2" above the alarm time
display. Only one alarm time indicator will be shown at a time.
1. Select the alarm you wish to set by pressing the ALARM 1 / ALARM 2 button
located on the front of the clock to select one of the two alarms.
2. Press and hold the ALARM 1 / ALARM 2 button for 3 seconds to enter the
ALARM TIME setting mode. The hour digit will begin to flash indicating your
are in the alarm time setting mode.
3. Intermittently pressing and releasing the ADJUST button will advance the hour
for the alarm time in one hour increments. Press the ADJUST button as
necessary until the correct hour is displayed
Note: If you are in the 12 hour time format, be sure you are in the correct AM or

4. Press the ALARM 1 / ALARM 2 button to exit the hour setting and enter the
minute setting mode.

minute in one minute increments. Press the ADJUST button as necessary until
the correct minute is displayed.
6. Once the desired alarm time is set press the ALARM 1 / ALARM 2 button to
exit the alarm setting mode.
