Portable Altimeter and VSI Combo instrument with analog and digital
representation, support for Metric operation, with settable altitude
alarm. Dial and altitude change to red when altitude exceeded. Also
RADIANT Technology's GEN2 instruments include SafeAlt, which is a
complete altimeter and VSI combo, along with a settable alarm.
General technical specifications:
Sunlight readable.
Dimmable for night operation.
Battery Life of 5+ hours; USB rechargeable.
Configurable altitude alarm changes the dial
to red and produces aural alarm.
Altimeter range: 0 to 20K feet (will not show
below zero altitudes). (Metric format also
supported.)
VSI range: +/- 1999 feet per minute. (Metric format also supported.)
Altimeter display type: analog dual needle representation
supplemented by digital value. Digital value may be either feet or
meters, user selectable.
VSI display type: analog single needle supplemented by digital value.
Feet or meters, user selectable.
Kollsman window: digital, either inches mercury or KPa mercury. (EG:
29.92 or 1013)
SafeAlt
has aural alarm which may be muted.
