Quick Installation Guide
Installation Instructions
1. Download the Yale Home application from AppStore or Google Play.
2. Create an account and login to the Yale Home application.
3. Charge the camera with the USB cable before installation.
4. Power up the camera and make sure it is blinking green before you
continue.
5. Select "Set up a Device" from the menu.
6. Scan the QR code on the back of the Yale Smart Outdoor Camera.
7. Follow the in-app installation instructions.
How do I restart the Yale Smart Outdoor Camera?
There are two ways to restart your Yale Smart Outdoor Camera and the first option is to do it in the Yale
Home application:
1.
Open Yale Home application on your smartphone.
2. Go to settings tab.
3. Go into settings for the Yale Smart Outdoor Camera.
4. Scroll down and choose "Restart device".
The other option is to do a hardware restart, and this is done by putting a needle in the small reset hole
button next to the On/Off button. This will make a full restart, compared to the other option that only
restarts the software in the camera.
How do I uninstall/remove my Yale Smart Outdoor Camera from Yale Home?
1.
Open Yale Home application on your smartphone.
2. Go to settings tab and then into settings for the Yale Smart Outdoor Camera.
3. Scroll down and choose "Remove device".
4. Wait until the camera starts blinking green in a pattern of 2 blinks, pause, 2 blinks etc.
5. If the camera does not start to blink, please follow the factory reset instructions below.
How do I factory reset my Yale Smart Outdoor Camera?
1.
Open Yale Home application on your smartphone.
2. Go to settings tab.
3. Go into settings for the Yale Smart Outdoor Camera.
4. Scroll down and choose "Remove device".
5. Wait until the camera starts blinking green in a pattern of 2 blinks, pause, 2 blinks etc.
6. Hold the On/Off button in the bottom of the camera for around 12 seconds, you will hear a beep
when you should release the button.
7.
When the camera has restarted and starts blinking green it is completely factory reset and removed
from the Yale Home eco-system.
8. It is now ready to be installed again.
