INTRODUCTION Thank you for purchasing the PDR300/302 digital voice recorder. Please print out this manual for easy reference. Unpack the unit and make sure all the accessories are put aside so they will not be lost. We recommend that you retain the original carton and packaging materials, should you transport or ship the unit in the future.
GETTING STARTED Installing the Batteries Remove the battery cover on the back of the unit. Install two (2) R03/AAA batteries (not included).* Replace the battery cover. * Notes: Make sure the polarity (+/-) of the batteries matches the marks inside the battery compartment. Do not mix old and new batteries, carbon and alkaline.

GETTING STARTED Voice Activated Recording (VAR) The Voice Activated Recording (VAR) feature means that with VAR activated the unit is recording only when a sound (voice) activates recording. When there is no sound (voice), the unit will not record. Press and hold OK / MENU for two (2) seconds to enter menu.

OPERATIONAL INSTRUCTIONS Recording Mode - continued Setting Recording Quality Choose from three (3) recording quality modes – Standard Play (SP), Long Play (LP), and High Quality (HQ). Press RECORDING QUALITY repeatedly to select the desired recording quality under STOP mode. With each choice, the LCD will display remaining available recording time.

OPERATIONAL INSTRUCTIONS Erasing Recording Erasing a file In a folder, select desired file to erase. Press ERASE once. “DEL XX” (XX = Track number) will flash on the LCD. Press ERASE to confirm erasing. Or press STOP cancel erasing (If no key is pressed for five [5] seconds erasing will also be canceled).
The PC Link Installer can be used to play the .voc files. The .voc files can also be converted and saved as .wav files. How to access the conversion file: • Download from Polaroid website: www.polaroid.com click “Support” and select PDR300, or PDR302.
