Page 2 4. Laser 5. NOMAD Star Tracker Setup Procedures 1. Install NOMAD Star Tracker 1.1 Prepare your tripod. Ensure that your tripod is set up on a stable surface. 1.2 Screw a ball head onto the threaded stud on the tripod. Rotate it until it is securely tightened. Remove the quick-release plate from the ball head platform.

Install and Align Laser Pointer 2.1 Before using the laser pointer, please remember to unscrew the battery cap of the laser and REMOVE insulating spacer. 2.2 Unscrew the laser aperture cap, then screw the red laser adapter for NOMAD onto the laser pointer. 2.3 Unscrew the red pan-head screw on the back of NOMAD, and screw the laser pointer into this screw hole with the laser adapter for NOMAD.
