BATTERY COMPARTMENT I/O PWR BATT LOW Figure 1: Fiber-optic modules connected to Gryphon 2.2.1 DB-15 connector to vehicle bus The fiber-optic module accesses the vehicle bus via a cable attached to the module’s DB-15 connector. The pins available for use will vary depending on the fiber-optic satellite module.
The connectors provided for communication with the Gryphon unit vary. All fiber-optic modules, however, have at least a Tx (Transmit) connector (for transmission of signals to the Gryphon) and an Rx (Receive) connector for the receiving of signals from the Gryphon.
