this information to determine the best location for the strobe light.

    The Strobe Light may be located less than 2m above the floor. VISIBLE SIGNAL ATTENTION ! The model SL240 Strobe Light is designed to notify hearing impaired individuals of impending danger. They MUST be used in conjunction with operating Smoke or Heat Alarms.

    To make your Strobe Light tamper resistant, a locking pin has been provided with your Strobe Light. Using this pin will deter individuals from removing the Strobe Light from the trim ring. To use the pin, insert it into the hole in the side of the Strobe Light after the Strobe Light has been installed on the trim ring (see fig.6.).
  • Page 5 9. LIMITATIONS OF ALARM CONTROLLED VISUAL SIGNALLING DEVICES Visual signalling devices can provide early warning to hearing impaired individuals. However, in order for the visual signalling device to function, it must be activated by an operating alarm. Alarms cannot provide an activation signal to the visual signalling device if smoke, heat or carbon monoxide do not reach the specific alarm.

(excluding any labour costs relating to removal or re-installation of product, and transport costs).
