Wand Style Switch
This symbol points out important safety instructions which, if
not followed, could endanger the personal safety and/or prop-
erty of yourself and others. Read and follow all instructions in
this manual before attempting to install or operate equipment
with this switch Failure to comply with these instructions may
result in personal injury. When you see this symbol. HEED ITS

WARNING
Improper installation and operation of equipment utilizing this
switch could cause personal injury, and/or property damage.
Observe the following Safety Precautions before, during and
after installing this switch. By following these precautions and
common sense, possible injury to persons may be avoided.
Safety Precautions
1. Read and fully understand the entire Installation and
Operator's Manual before installing this switch. Always follow
these installation procedures and use proper tools and safety
equipment.
2. This component should only be installed by a trained
technician/installer that understands these installation
instructions.
3. Never work alone while under a vehicle or while repairing or
maintaining equipment. Always properly support equipment
when installing this switch.
4. Always use proper components in applications for which they
are approved.
5. Do not install this component on equipment that needs
maintenance or repairs.
6. Operator should periodically inspect all safety systems,
mounting brackets, and hardware as a routine maintenance.
Tighten or replace any loose or damaged components or
hardware.
WARNING
Exposed rotating or moving driveshafts or components may
cause serious injury or death. Keep hands, feet, hair and loose
clothing away from moving components. Disconnect and lock
out power before servicing, adjusting or cleaning equipment.
Never remove or modify shields or guards
Switch Installation Instructions
1. Select an area along truck frame and body that is free of
obstructions and allows free movement of spring wand actuator
on switch body.
2. Install the switch body adjacent to the hoist body to allow
a minimum of 1" of spring wand actuator deflection from the
neutral/un-deflected position. Contact of the spring wand
actuator should be made at least 1.5" from the tip end of the
spring wand actuator. See Figure 1.

3. Unscrew hex nuts from the switch mounting bolts. Remove the
Switch Body from the Vehicle Mounting Bracket. See Figure 2.
